POS Terminal

Speed is the currency of retail. The POS Terminal in Sevenledger is built for speed, designed to let your cashiers process sales, handle split payments, and print receipts without ever touching a mouse.

Whether you run a single boutique or a multi-location franchise, the Terminal is your front-line command center.

Starting Your Day

Before you can sell, you need to open your register.

Select Your Store

When you first launch the POS app, you will see a dashboard. Click Start Session.

If you manage multiple locations, a Choose Your Store popup will appear. Select the specific branch you are working from (e.g., “Sankhamul Store” vs. “Baneshwor Store”).

Session Dashboard

Once logged in, you enter the Session Dashboard. This gives you a quick snapshot of the day’s performance so far:

Total Sales: The gross revenue for the current session.
Payment Methods: A breakdown of how people are paying (e.g., Bank Transfer vs. Cash).

Launch Terminal

Click Start Session (or “Continue” if already open) to enter the sales interface.

Processing a Sale

The terminal interface is divided into two logical halves: the Catalog (left) and the Cart (right).

1. Adding Items

Browse Categories: Use the pill-shaped buttons at the top (e.g., “Bags,” “Mobile Phones,” “Electronics”) to filter your products instantly.
Search / Scan: Use the search bar to type a product name or scan a barcode.
Selection: Clicking a product (e.g., “Ganesh Statue”) adds it to the cart on the right.

2. Adjusting the Cart

Click on any item in the cart to expand its options:

Quantity: Increase or decrease the count.
Discount: Apply a percentage discount (%) directly to that line item.

3. Assigning a Customer

While you can do “Guest Checkout,” assigning a customer allows you to track loyalty and history.

Click the Select Customer dropdown at the top right.
Search for an existing client (e.g., “Aditya Siwakoti”) or click + Add Customer to create a profile on the fly.

Checkout & Payments

Once the cart is ready, click the Proceed button at the bottom right. This takes you to the Payment Screen.

Flexible Payment Modes

Sevenledger supports modern, complex payment behaviors. You can split a single bill across multiple payment methods.

Select Mode: Choose from Wallet, Cash, Cheque, or Bank Transfer.
Enter Amount: Use the on-screen number pad to type how much the customer is paying via that specific mode.
Split Payments:
- Example: A customer has a bill of Rs 5,000. They want to pay Rs 2,000 in Cash and Rs 3,000 via Wallet.
- The system tracks “Remaining” and “Received” amounts in real-time until the balance is zero.

Finalizing

Once the Remaining balance hits 0, the Complete Order button will turn blue. Click it to close the sale.

Printing the Receipt

After the order is complete, a Print Preview modal appears automatically.

Details: The thermal receipt includes your Store Name, PAN, Phone Number, and a detailed itemized list.
Action: Press Print (or Enter) to hand the receipt to the customer.

Pro Tip: Use the Full Screen button in the top right corner for a distraction-free experience. This is especially helpful on touch-screen POS monitors.
