Getting Started with Ecommerce

Building an online store used to mean hiring expensive developers or wrestling with complex plugins. With Sevenledger, your online store is an extension of your existing inventory.

If you have products in your warehouse, you are already 90% of the way to having a live website. Follow this guide to close that final 10% gap and launch your brand to the world.

Launching Your Store in 5 Steps

1. Curate Your Catalog

Your website needs products. Navigate to Ecommerce > Items.

  • Ensure your products have high-quality images and clear descriptions.
  • Price Check: The price you set here is the price customers will pay online (unless you set a Hot Deal later).
  • Stock Check: Your website syncs with your physical stock. If you have 0 stock in the warehouse, the website will say “Out of Stock” automatically.

2. Design Your Storefront (Theme)

Make a great first impression. Navigate to Themes > Customize Home Page.

  • Hero Banner: Upload a stunning banner image (approx 1920x600px) and add a “Shop Now” button to guide users immediately.
  • Announcements: Add a top bar for urgent messages like “Free Shipping on orders over Rs 2000”.
  • Footer: Add your contact info and social links so customers know you are a real, trustworthy business.

3. Build Your Structure (Menus & Pages)

Help customers find what they are looking for.

  • Create Pages: Go to Pages and create your standard content: “About Us,” “Return Policy,” and “Contact Us”.
  • Build Navigation: Go to Menus. Drag and drop your product categories (e.g., “Men,” “Women,” “Accessories”) and your new pages into the main menu structure.

4. Create an Offer (Hot Deals)

Nothing converts like a discount. Navigate to Hot Deals.

  • Select a few key products and give them a “Slash-down” price (e.g., reducing a hoodie from Rs 3200 to Rs 2500).
  • This creates a visual “Sale” badge on your site, driving urgency.

5. Connect Your Domain

Make it official. Navigate to Configurations > Domain Configuration.

  • Replace the system URL with your own custom domain (e.g., www.wearyaki.com) to build brand authority.
  • Bonus: Connect your Meta Pixel and Google Tag in the “Analytics Integration” tab to start tracking your visitors immediately.

Congratulations! Your store is now live. Any order placed on the website will instantly appear in your Orders tab, ready for fulfillment.
